Our Client is looking for an Operations Engineer to join their team. This is a leadership position within the Maintenance department, therefore in addition to managing a team of employees and reporting on individual and departmental KPIs to make sure targets are being reached, you will also be responsible for technical, health and safety, and food safety.

 

In order to maximise plant availability and save maintenance costs, the Operations Engineer will be in charge of creating and putting into practise the Maintenance strategy for the equipment in their region while working as a member of the Operations team. Utilizing a combination of plant, process, and maintenance knowledge, you'll make sure that planned tasks are carried out using all available resources in accordance with agreed-upon schedules, budgets, and priorities as well as to agreed-upon standards

Requirements

- Create Work Methods, Risk Assessments, and any other necessary supporting paperwork to carry out maintenance tasks in the designated region in a safe, effective, and timely manner.

- Where necessary, identify, organise, and manage the needs for contracted services.

- Establish procedures for upholding a safe work environment and hold employees accountable for adhering to those standards

- Manage your department to consistently produce high levels of compliance at all times.

- Facilitate RCM and FMEAs for the assets in their allocated area, and, based on the results, alter maintenance plans.

Skills & Knowledge

Our client is searching for a successful people leader with experience in manufacturing who has developed and implemented strategies that have improved operations throughout the plant. You'll have knowledge of HACCP, advanced food hygiene, and lean manufacturing techniques.

 

You should have...

• HNC or an equivalent in the relevant area

• Working knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment

• IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH General Certificate
