LEAD ENGINEER

As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of production machinery ensuring product is manufactured and packaged to exacting standards following safe working practises.

Requirements

- Plan and deliver routine maintenance and breakdown prevention activities

- Apply strong planning and organising skills so that essential equipment and machinery maintenance is scheduled around production plans ensuring production volumes are optimised

- Provide engineering and technical expertise to the production team

- Identify and implement preventative maintenance measures that minimise the disruption to the production schedule

- Prepare and deliver operational training to team members ensuring they have sufficient knowledge and understanding

- Manage maintenance, consumables, and tools budget, delivering spend to target

- Provide engineering support for new product development, change parts and equipment adaptation

- Document maintenance providing evidential records

- Provide technical expertise in CIP process development

- Maintain relevant documentation including schematics in accordance with the BRC requirements

- Utilise all relevant logs and monitoring forms during production in accordance with BRC policies and procedures

- Log all “non-conformances” as relate to own role including volume of items delivered / time of deliveries etc

Skills & Knowledge

- Experience with alcohol beverage bottling

- Competent in MS office core applications as well as CAD

- Articulate communicator both written and verbal

- Strong judgement and proven ability to prioritise

- Calm under pressure with the ability to remain focused

- Positive and assertive with ability to work autonomously

- Proactive with a focus on finding solutions

- Willing collaborator who shares professional knowledge and experience to benefit the whole team

- Willing to take on new challenges and work flexibly to achieve business goals and objectives
